I have a GPT drive that came with a Macbook. I want to use it in a Vista Machine. When I try to format it using the Vista startup disk it won't let me. I can delete the partition, but as long as it is a GPT drive it won't allow Vista to install. How do I convert this drive back to normal use for Vista? If you boot your VM into a GParted live disk – or any live disk with GParted – you can create format your partition then go back and do the install. The partition table needs to be gpt and the partition HFS+.
